Alternative Names BRS-1
Description Big Red Sat-1 was developed and operated by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's Aerospace Club's Advanced eXperimental Payloads team. The mission was conceived on August 2020 and ended on August 2024, when Big Red Sat-1 reentered Earth's orbit. The scientific mission was to characterize perovskite solar cells fabricated by the National Laboratory of the Rockies by curve tracing and temperature monitoring to evaluate their in-situ performance in low earth orbit during a 90-day period. All of our mission objectives were met and dissemination of the results are ongoing.
