| Description | KOSEN-2R is a cubesat that will demonstrate the collection of data on seafloor crustal deformation using a directional antenna, high-precision attitude control using a reaction wheel system that combines a fisheye camera and magnetic sensors, and satellite communication using a data collection system designed for multi-point reception. KOSEN-2R features a deployable Yagi-style directional antenna which extends after deployment. It is designed to study deformation of the Earth’s crust under the sea floor. KOSEN-2R is a re-flight of an identical satellite lost during the RAISE-3 launch in October 2022. |
