Description
FOSSASAT-2 is a first-generation 2P PocketQube by FOSSA Systems, to be launched in Q4 2020/Q1 2021. The satellite includes an Earth observation payload, an active ADCS system, a GNSS experiment and amateur radio payloads such as Morse/GFSK/LoRa beacon and GFSK/LoRa transponder with public store-and-forward capability. The mission goal is to demonstrate capacity of the PocketQube platform for Earth observation, as well as the promotion of amateur satellite community. Due to its LoRa transmitter, FOSSASAT-2 will require very cheap equipment to receive, lowering the bar of entry for new members of the community.
